Hey IDK who needs to hear this and I'm only one guy up here in Maine so I hope all my friends will spread the word but if you are without water in your home under any circumstances there are gallons of fresh water in your water heater. Look near the bottom and you'll see what looks kinda like a water spigot on the side of your house but it's usually brass colored. This is a pressure relief valve to keep your water heater from becoming over pressurized. Open the valve and whatever the capacity of your water heater is there is that much fresh water at hand.
