This is my 5th season at Bayfield Farmers Market and let me tell you. It seems like every year early in the season we get a severe hail storm or two. This little fit of nature causes mass problems for our local produce and flower vendors and their beautiful crops resulting in loss of time and money. Yet, the vendors still show up with a smile on their faces and continue the grind. So next time you’re at the market and you see those smiling faces, just know that they’re dealing with sometimes extreme situations to get you the freshest produce and flowers around. Smile back at them, support them and let them know you appreciate their hard work and effort.
