Something special is arriving on the South Shore.
After years of pop-ups, culinary experiences, storytelling, and sharing our passion for Peruvian cuisine inspired by the spirit of Lake Superior, we are proud to announce that Yaku Superior is finally becoming a full-service restaurant experience.
Our journey began in Bayfield, continued through Washburn, expanded into Ashland, and now, after years of hard work, growth, and community support, we are finally coming back home to Bayfield.
Led by Chef & Sommelier Carlos Keil, born in Lima, Peru, and shaped by experiences across Europe, Central America, South America, and the United States, Yaku Superior brings together culinary artistry, wine culture, local ingredients, and cultural storytelling into one unique dining experience.
Yaku Superior will offer two curated services from Wednesday through Saturday:
βοΈ Morning Service | 7:00 AM β 10:00 AM
Breakfast Walk-Ins Welcome
Enjoy handcrafted breakfasts inspired by Peruvian flavors, European influences, and the spirit of the North Shore, from signature empanadas and sandwiches to seasonal creations prepared with intention and warmth.
π Evening Service | 5:00 PM β 8:00 PM
Fine Dining by Appointment Only
Our evening experience will feature immersive multi-course culinary journeys curated by Chef & Sommelier Carlos Keil, with specially selected wine pairings, storytelling, local ingredients, and flavors inspired by Peru, the Mediterranean, and the Great Lakes region.
This will not be a traditional restaurant. It will be an intimate and soulful culinary destination where Andean soul meets northern waters, where food becomes memory, wine becomes conversation, and every table tells a story.
We will soon announce:
β’ Our official inauguration day
β’ Our website
β’ Our Bayfield location
β’ Reservation details
β’ The first seasonal menu experiences
Thank you to the communities of Bayfield, Washburn, and Ashland for believing in this vision from the very beginning. Your support, encouragement, and curiosity helped transform a dream into reality.
