This is a family business serving local individuals and farmers markets. The Hen House Bakery is as a Cottage Food Bakery licensed in Beaufort County in the state of South Carolina . For the last year, we have been serving Ladys Island and the surrounding areas (we say from Fripp to Laurel Bay!). Creating classic breads, pies, cakes, and cookies is our passion though our cinnamon rolls and our bac

on chocolate chip cookies have become our calling card! Our family enjoys meeting our customers and being part of the community. We set up “The Coop” (our mobile bakery pop-up) regularly at Pasture Shed Farm (Henry Farms) in St. Helena, and by now you have probably seen us doing Saturday deliveries in the famous “Bakery Bug”. Drop by one Saturday, say hey, and maybe enjoy a cinnamon roll and an espresso drink! We can also coordinate group bulk and special orders! Happy Fall! Pumpkin Bread is one of my favorites, I love this recipe that we have been using for about 8 years! It was a trip down memory lane to when I began baking this bread for The Hen House Bakery in GA. We spent 6 years in SC blessed to meet so many of you, and here we are starting a new season in Norfolk, VA, with recipes that have been with us for years!

Scrolling through old instagram posts and I was struck by Julia Childs kitchen. This was one of my favorite things at the Smithsonian in DC. Since relocating to Norfolk we are a bit closer to DC, hoping we can visit soon and once again explore this kitchen.

It’s Birthday time at our house! One of my favorite things is baking a cake of choice for my family! This year my 11year old requested a chocolate chip cookie cheesecake for her birthday! Happy Birthday to our youngest chick!

It was a gorgeous morning on Fripp today! And to top it off we were able to deliver cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies! We love making your beach vacation extra special❤️our next Fripp delivery will be June 15th and June 19th. We do have one dozen cinnamon rolls and 2 dozen chocolate chip cookies available for pick up on Lady’s Island today!!
