We started Fish Friday because so many people asked for it, but we need your support to keep it going. If you enjoy having a local place to come eat fish on Friday nights, tonight is the night to show it! ❤️

☀️🚨 A Quick Heads Up for Thursday! 🚨☀️

Today is the day we’re finally getting our new air conditioning unit installed at Martha Jean’s Diner! 🎉

Because the installation will be happening during business hours, the dining room is going to be warmer than usual today. We will still be open and serving all your favorites, but we wanted to give everyone a heads-up so you can plan accordingly.

🥡 If you’d rather not sit in the heat, we’re happy to take to-go orders all day.

We appreciate your patience as we make this much-needed upgrade. After years of battling Arkansas summers with an old unit, we’re excited to be one step closer to a cooler, more comfortable dining room for everyone! ❤️

🥵☀️ After five summers of owning Martha Jean’s Diner, the Arkansas heat has definitely tested us!

Our front dining room air conditioner is over 25 years old, and after doing everything we could to keep it going, it’s finally time for a replacement. 🙌❄️

🔧 This Thursday, we will be having a brand-new unit installed. The installation will take place during business hours, which means we will not have air conditioning in the front of the restaurant for most, if not all, of the day.

🚪 We will still be OPEN and serving breakfast and lunch until 3:00 PM, but we want everyone to know it may be a little warm inside.

🥡 If you’d rather stay cool, we will gladly be taking to-go orders all day long!

❤️ We appreciate your patience as we make this much-needed improvement. This new unit is a big investment, but one that will help make your dining experience much more comfortable during these hot Arkansas summers.

Y’all, I’m just going to be honest.

Fish Friday has been extremely slow, and right now I have to make a decision about whether we can continue staying open on Friday nights.

We started Fish Friday because so many people asked for it, and we truly wanted to give our community another place to gather and enjoy a good meal. But for us to keep doing it, we need the support.

So if you’ve been meaning to come try our fish, this Friday would be a great time. Bring your family, invite your friends, and come spend your evening with us at Martha Jean’s Diner.

We love serving this community, but small businesses can only keep things going when the community shows up.

As a small business owner, I’ve noticed something lately.

We often hear small businesses talk about wanting more local support, and that’s understandable—we all need our communities. But I also believe that support starts with us.

Imagine what could happen if every small business in town made an effort to support other small businesses. Grab lunch from a local restaurant, shop at a local boutique, hire local services, share each other’s posts, and genuinely cheer one another on.

There is enough room for all of us to succeed. When one small business thrives, it brings more people into our community, and that benefits everyone.

Instead of seeing each other as competition, let’s see each other as neighbors working toward the same goal: keeping our town strong and helping local families succeed.

Support doesn’t always have to be a purchase. Sometimes it’s a recommendation, a share, a kind word, or simply showing up.

Let’s build a community where small businesses don’t just survive—they help each other thrive.

Tomorrow, Monday, May 25th, our diner will be closed in honor of Memorial Day so that our employees can spend the day with their families and truly reflect on the meaning behind this holiday. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than cookouts and long weekends — it is a time to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage and service will never be forgotten.

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:12-13 ❤️

We are thankful for those who served, those we have lost, and the freedoms we are blessed with each and every day. We pray everyone has a safe, peaceful, and meaningful Memorial Day spent with the people you love most.
