My sweet niece turns 9 today, which means I’ve officially been an aunt 9 years! It also means that when she requests Luau cookies, I deliver. This set was SO much and means so much when it’s for someone as special as her. 🌸

This week’s cakes for Rustic Root!

Lemon Blueberry- lemon cake filled with lemon blueberry cream cheese frosting and topped with fresh blueberries. A customer favorite!

Salted Caramel Chocolate Truffle- Chocolate cake filled with salted caramel buttercream and homemade salted caramel with a salted caramel drip and chocolate buttercream topped with salted caramel truffles. One of my personal favorites!

MJ’s Baking Boutique officially has a home (that’s not my actual home!). I’ve been dreaming about this day for a long time.

This building represents so much more than a brick and mortar—it’s 6.5 years of hard work, late nights, incredible customers and a community that believed in me every step of the way.

I can’t wait to transform this space into a warm and welcoming bakery filled with custom cookies, sweet treats and special celebrations.

Thank you to every customer, friend and family member who has supported me. This is truly a dream come true and I’m just getting started.

Here’s to new beginnings, fresh cookies and making sweet memories together.

GRATEFUL. Truly the only way I can some up the month of May. In 4 weeks, I turned over 3,500 custom cookies (and throw in a corporate event with my camper and gourmet desserts!) I worked with so many fun customers and companies, a highlight reel was the only way to showcase them all.

After my big drop off at the I was so overwhelmed with gratitude and pride that I couldn’t stop crying, the ugly kind of crying!

Lately, the words imposter syndrome has come out of my mouth more than once. And when my friends ask why, I say I truly don’t feel like this life is mine sometimes, that somehow I don’t deserve this. And before I’m even done, my friends remind me that I’ve literally worked my butt off for the opportunities that I’ve been presented.

So for that, and for every single order and customer I have, I’m GRATEFUL.

Special shoutout to some pretty great corporate customers! Thank you for trusting me with your sweets!
