Belleville, let's talk. Specifically, let's talk kitchen and bar staff.
You know we're a scratch kitchen.
The great thing about that is the food we put out is above average and worth looking forward to.
The challenge is it takes REAL cooks to pull it off.
No offense to a fast food cook - I've been there and done that, and it is HARD.
But - and this is important - what we do is a craft.
It requires someone who not only cares but can actually do real cooking.
And show up and put up.
It's a busy kitchen. It's hot. It's hectic.
We're a close-knit team, so yeah - we get loud in the heat of a rush. (You might've even overheard a "What do you mean you forgot to put my green beans in?!!?" ...sorry about that!) But we've got each other's backs.
And it's incredibly rewarding.
We're growing and getting busier every week, and we're opening the team up to a couple of new people - both kitchen and bar.
One specific need right now is a GREAT prep cook that can work early or late hours when the kitchen is closed. Show up, head down, headphones on and choppy choppy!
Baking skills a BIG plus!
Our style of menu relies on prep work...when service starts that is half the battle.
Here's the deal on the kitchen:
$18/hr base to start.
(new!) - WEEKLY revenue sharing - the busier we get, the more you make and this is shared across the kitchen team, so a prep cook on a slow Tuesday still gets the benefit of us having a slammed Friday night.
Effective pay is currently running $21/hr and up.
We are a place that really values its team, not just 'lip action' but the chance to work with people that support each other at work.
On the bar side we need one more real bartender.
You need to know how to tend bar already, I'm sorry....this particular position is not really a good fit for someone that has never stepped behind a busy bar.
