Looks like summer officially showed up in Bellingham and it brought 26 bean bag teams with it!

The boards are set, the bags are flying, and the friendly trash talk is already at mid-season form. Huge turnout tonight at the Bellingham Legion as teams kick off another summer of competition, laughs, and probably a few “that totally hit the board” arguments.

Good luck to all this season may your drinks stay cold and your partner actually hit the board once in a while 😂.

Today is more than the start of summer or a long weekend. It is a day to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything in service to our nation.

We remember the fallen.
We honor their families.
We thank those who continue to serve.

As neighbors, friends, veterans, and community members gather together today, may we never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day.

May we never forget that freedom isn’t free.
