Saturday on the harbor just feels different when the sun finally shows up. ☀️

People slow down a little.
Tables stay longer.
And somehow every table starts with “let’s just order a couple appetizers” … and suddenly there are three sitting in the middle of the table. 😄

But honestly… what matters most to us isn’t trends or gimmicks.
It’s the experience when you walk through the door.
Great food.
Great service.
And feeling welcome the minute you sit down.
Real ingredients.
Real prep.
Real people in the kitchen actually cooking.
And a great crew out front working hard to make sure you enjoy your time here.

The sauces are made here.
The fish is hand cut.
The burgers aren’t pulled out of some mystery freezer bag.
The fries are actual potatoes. Wild concept these days. 😂

We know people have choices when they go out to eat.
That’s why we care so much about the food, the service, and creating a place where friends, families, visitors, locals, celebrations, and regulars all feel comfortable together.
Because at the end of the day, restaurants are about people.
Great food.
Great crew.
And making people feel welcome.
That’s always been the goal.

Tuesday’s gone.
Wednesday? Yeah… gone too.
Thursday? We think this is Thursday. 😅
So technically this is Tuesday’s post.
It just arrived a little late. Somewhere between burgers on the charbroiler, seafood hitting the patio tables, cold drinks leaving the bar, and Frank the seagull apparently refusing to acknowledge calendars altogether.
But hey — long weekend energy is officially here.
The weather’s beautiful, the harbor’s sparkling, the patio’s full, and honestly this is exactly the kind of day that turns into: “we’ll just stop in for one drink” …and suddenly there’s grilled seafood, another basket of fries, dessert menus, sunset photos, and nobody in a hurry to leave.
It’s bacon cheeseburger weather.
Fish & chips weather.
Deep fried pickle weather.
Cold drink weather — virgin or otherwise.
Chocolate overload torte with a scoop of ice cream because apparently weekdays no longer matter around here.
And honestly… we’re okay with that.
So yes… this may technically be Tuesday’s post arriving on Thursday.
But we promise Saturday won’t become Monday.
Probably. 😎
Oh — and keep posting your pictures and tagging us too. We LOVE seeing your patio photos, seafood shots, burgers, birthdays, sunsets, drinks, desserts, harbor selfies, and all the random moments that somehow turn into full Nicki’s memories.
The food always looks better with the harbor in the background anyway. ⚓

Pacific Northwest weather is honestly just emotional damage with a view at this point. 😄
One minute: ☀️ SUN
sunglasses out
people ordering cold drinks
Frank the seagull committing organized fry theft on the patio.
Ten minutes later: 🌧️ RAIN
hoodies back on
everybody pretending they “knew this was coming.”
Meanwhile Frank is standing on the fence soaking wet looking through the window like: “Brother… please. One fry. I’ve seen things.”
Sir… you literally stole an entire basket yesterday.
Inside though? Fish & chips flying out. Burgers sizzling. Drinks cold. Crew moving at 900 miles an hour. And somebody’s ketchup bottle is absolutely going to explode on their shirt today. We don’t make the rules.
Honestly the weather around here doesn’t even matter anymore. If you live here long enough you just go: “Eh. Little damp. Let’s get burgers.”
Which honestly feels correct.

Rain?
Around here that just means: ✔ hotter coffee ✔ burgers fresh off the charbroiler ✔ fish & chips by the harbor ✔ and extra orders for the trip home because nobody wants to cook in this weather anyway.

The patio may get a little wet… but the kitchen’s still cooking, the fryers are still going, and Nicki’s doesn’t stop because of a little Pacific Northwest weather. 😄

Honestly, around here rain just separates the tourists from the professionals.
So throw on a hoodie, come grab some real food, watch the boats roll by, and let Wednesday do whatever weird Wednesday stuff it wants.
And if you really want to fully commit to rainy-day decisions… finish it off with a Deep Fried Tw***ie Supreme. Because apparently the official Pacific Northwest survival plan is: “hot food, harbor view, and dessert you absolutely did not need but ordered anyway.” 😄

Meanwhile Frank the seagull is already outside standing in the rain saying it’s “cleansing for the feathers.” 🐦
Honestly… we think he just likes looking dramatic by the harbor.

Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all the Moms, Mums, Mamas, Ma’s, Bonus Moms, Dog Moms, Cat Moms, Grandma’s, Nana’s, and the women currently answering “MOOOOMMMM?” from three different directions at once. 🌷⚓😅
Since we’re not open Sundays… Saturday has officially been promoted to: Mother’s Day: The Extended Edition.
So bring Mom down to Nicki’s and let US do the cooking for once. Because honestly… if Mom has to decide dinner, drive there, AND clean up after? That’s not a gift. That’s just Tuesday with flowers.

So apparently…
it’s Tuesday.
Like… fully Tuesday.
Not “we’ll post later” Tuesday.
Not “we thought it was Monday” Tuesday.
Actual. Tuesday. 😅
We’d say we planned it this way—
build suspense, keep you guessing,
make you wonder if we even remembered…
…but let’s be honest.
The kitchen was cooking, the bar was pouring,
and time just… slipped into a burger. 🍔
AND a basket of fish. 🐟
Because yeah—
the fish is hot, crispy, and not here to be ignored.
So here we are.
It’s Tuesday. We’re open. We’re cooking.
Ribs are happening.
Fish & chips are doing their thing.
Drinks are cold.
The view is still showing off.
And Frank the seagull has already clocked in
like he owns the place. 🐦⚓
Come down, grab a seat,
pretend we posted this hours ago,
and we’ll all act like this was very organized.
Because at Nicki’s…
We don’t miss Tuesday.

SPRING HOURS ARE HERE ⚓
Longer days. More sunshine on the harbor. And now…
Nicki’s is open until 9pm.
Which basically means:
more time for fish & chips, more time for ribs, more time for “just one more drink,” and definitely more time for dessert you weren’t planning to order.
No rushing. No clock-watching. Just sit a little longer and enjoy the view.
It’s that time of year again.

Posting early so we can all celebrate…

Tuesday is back to normal at Nicki’s. 🥤⚓
The Coke is finally flowing in the correct direction again —
which is into glasses, not across the floor, the walls, or all over Darci. Saturday afternoon:
Darci — wrestled the system back like a champion
Hannah — put in SEVEN service requests to Coca-Cola

Crew — grabbed hoses, towels, ice, patience, and jumped in wherever needed
Customers — sent kind emails and texts that honestly meant a lot

Frank the Seagull — supervised the entire operation from the dock
And somehow… it all worked.
Teamwork — YAY.
So today’s official scoreboard:
Darci — 25
Hannah — 25
Everyone who jumped in — 25
Frank — 25
Drinks are pouring properly again.
Kitchen’s rolling.
Harbor’s sparkling.
Tuesday’s back. Come celebrate with us. Stay awhile. ⚓🥤

Not to put any pressure on the Coke guy (or the Coke gun), we’ve decided the best move for everyone involved is to give him the space to work and keep the water turned off safely and properly.

So we’re pressing pause for today and letting the magic happen behind the scenes. New shiny Coke stuff is on the way, and we’ll be ready to roll Tuesday.
