What's the next step for Chef Will of Pizzazza?

Your Kitchen.

Owning and operating Pizzazza for last 17 of my 32 years as a professional chef taught me a few things about kitchen work. Yes, all those fancy chef-y skills, competitive-level refrigerator organization, and some mean dishwashing credentials, but the kitchen work I mean is that my wife and I did at home over those years as a busy family.

At various points during Pizzazza’s tenure, we were working 80-100 hour weeks and raising four kids. Folks, we are hard-core food people. Boxed meals and fast-food drive-throughs weren’t going to cut it. We had to find a way to fit nourishing, scratch-cooked food into a week that was already jam-packed with work responsibilities and family duties. Then, we had to do it all over again next week. And the week after next. We developed a good system during that time, one that was built on strong communication, deep and steady planning, understanding of dietary preferences and intolerances, kitchen know-how, experimentation, and sound nutritional science (Erica, my wife, is a dietitian.)

It's that system—the one that brought a little sanity to our lives—that I want to offer to you through our new business, Wandering Chef Will. Offering personal in-home meal planning and culinary services, Chef Will works with you to

-design a nutritionally complete menu according to your preferences and dietary needs;

-procure quality ingredients from local growers and other trusted sources;

-prepare gourmet dishes once per week in your kitchen;

-package, label and provide reheating instructions for each meal; and

-leave your kitchen sparkling clean.
