Today is National Mom & Pop Business Day… and wow, does this one hit different this year.

Being a small, family-run business isn’t just about serving food or opening doors. It’s about early mornings, late nights, and pouring everything you have into something you love. It’s about your family, your staff, and a community that shows up when it matters most.

We’ve been through a lot lately, and while our doors may not look the same right now, our passion hasn’t changed one bit. If anything, it’s stronger. This isn’t just a business to us… it’s our life, our livelihood, and our way of serving others.

To everyone who has supported us, checked on us, ordered from us, shared our name, or simply said a prayer, 🙏🏻 thank you. You are the reason mom & pop businesses like ours keep going.

And trust us… we’re not done yet.

Today, some members of our team gathered to present Nickie with your donations and to extend our best wishes. This exemplifies the spirit of community and solidarity that small towns are known for. When someone in our community faces challenges, we come together to support one another. We kindly ask you to keep the 1836 team in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the road ahead. In the coming weeks, they plan to set up a food truck offering burgers and cinnamon rolls, and we encourage everyone to visit and show their support. 1836 Cafe

It was a great turnout last night at Finish Line Diner. Thank you so much to everyone that donated and came to show support. We are truly blessed with the best commUNITY. Please keep these local businesses in mind when doing business. These people are the real MVP!

The reconstruction phase starts next week and we’re looking at at least a month before we open back up full service. We have an opportunity to keep burgers and cinnamon rolls coming your way so be on the lookout for that!

Reminder!!! Tomorrow evening from 5pm-8pm right here at Finish Line Diner . We currently have over $1600 in gift card/certificate prizes alone for bingo/silent Auction.
