We will open our usual hours this weekend from 4 pm- 8 pm!

We have set up a special stand in honor of Pawpaw—something that means a lot to our family.

It was given by his favorite sidekick, José, and it couldn’t be more fitting for the life he lived! 🚜🌻

If you stop by, take a moment to read it and remember a man who meant so much to so many.
We have enjoyed hearing all the stories everyone has had, and appreciate all the love and support more than you know.

We will be having a viewing this evening from 5:00–7:00 PM at Fulton Senter Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 1:00 PM at Fulton Senter Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Hodges Cemetery.

There will not be a formal graveside service, but anyone who would like to come and be part of laying him to rest is welcome to join us.

We truly appreciate all the love, prayers, and support during this time.

It is with a heavy heart we share that Rabern Evan Thomas, our Founder, our Father, Grandfather and Friend has passed away this morning.

He originally built The Fish Place in 1999, and what you see today started with him.

He owned and operated Thomas Grocery with his wife Glenda for many years, where his breakfast sausage became a staple in homes all across our community. He loved being outdoors, checking his cows, and taking care of the people around him.

One of his most recent new ventures was for the last several years planting like 5O Jalapeño plants to supply for our jalapeno slaw. The Fish Place would trade a tray of jalapeno hush puppies for a bushel of jalapenos!

Some of our favorite memories are of being out on the farm, seining catfish for The Fish Place alongside him.

The Fish Place is here today because of him, and we are proud to continue what he started.

We appreciate your prayers for our family during this time 🤍
