Yesterday I traveled to Milwaukee to attend my Global Entry appointment. Luckily I had the pleasure of a great friend accompaning me.
We decided to head to Milwaukee Public Market after my brief appointment.
Wow! If you haven't visited this place please consider doing so. It's an amazing place of all foodstuffs. Little shops, restaurants, bars, bakeries, an ice cream shop....
We decided to share a Grilled Salmon Rockefeller sandwich (omg so good!) And an order of mussels. Perfect!

I'm taking my Black bean and corn salad to Chicago! I roasted Leifker Enterprises peaches and cream sweet corn for it🌽 It's so yummy- I use my Mexican vinaigrette as the dressing! 😋

I've also served this a couple times recently at a party and a retreat. It's a hit!!

The other night I made chicken stir fry for dinner...I was inspired by a meal that I had catered at the Sinsinawa Mound for a retreat.

Instead of rice I chose to make this new-to- me protein rice that a Foodie acquaintance had recommended.
First time cooking it and I did have a boil over but other than that I followed the directions and the results were good!
This box makes a lot and it is considered 4 servings. Each serving has 6 net carbs, 20g of protein, 15g of fiber and 130 calories!
It is made from Lupini beans, something I had not heard about until it this product was recommended. Seems to be a powerhouse bean! I'll research it more 🤓
If you are looking for a rice substitute that doesn't spike your blood sugar, has a bunch of protein and fiber- you may want to try Kaizen Protein Rice. It's tasty, takes on the flavors of what it is served with and is filling.

I love when I am blessed to enjoy yet another sunrise and sunset. And all the chaotic moments in between. And a restful nights sleep. I cherish all this and try to remain aware of just how quickly life passes by.
Time is a thief.

My apologies as I am canceling the Tea Party on Saturday. I am going home for a quick bit of family time and also a funeral.
I will reschedule the Tea Party in the near future. Plus I am planning a proper British Tea Party for Fall!

Cost is $32 per person, tax included

Come savor a variety of delectable scones made by Amanda Bennett of The Little Pick Up Stand. Served with homemade whipped butter, jams and clotted cream.

Followed by finger sandwiches of chicken salad, egg salad and ham served on freshly made Sourdough breads also by Amanda.

The finale will be assorted yummy desserts made by Kelli. I'm sure a cheesecake will be on the tray. 😋
🫖 a variety of tea will be served to complement the menu choices.

NOTE: I will be catering a luncheon and dinner today (Saturday July 11) therefore I will not be following up on reservation requests until Sunday. At that time I can answer questions and confirm reservations.

Reservations are limited and seating will be shared tables.

I know my social has been kinda quiet lately and that's because my hours have been spent solidly on catering, catering, catering and (deep breath) the Airbnb.

I'm still here thinking about you all, planning the upcoming Tea Party and treading water too. 😊
I'll have deets on the Tea Party on Thursday. I know the the 18th is coming in quick but I'm giving it all I got. 🤪
