We proudly serve a wide variety of seasonal and specialty fish, with most of our seafood flown in directly from Toyosu Fish Market in Japan.

As this year comes to an end, we want to take a moment to sincerely thank you.
It has been a challenging year in many ways, but thanks to your continued support and encouragement, we are grateful to have made it through another year together.

Kamado Japanese Restaurant will be closed from December 25 through January 1, and we will reopen on January 2.
We’ll be back refreshed and ready to welcome you in the new year.

Takabe (たかべ) Yellow stripped butter fish.
Takabe is distributed along the Pacific coast from central Honshu to Kyushu. The body length is 15~20 cm. Its body color is blue-brown with a yellow longitudinal band on its back.

The flesh is tender and fatty despite being a white fish, making it tasty.

Shira-uo (白魚 / Icefish)
Shirauo remain in season until May, and specimens that are about two inches in length are used for sushi. Five or six of these tiny fish are arranged onto shari to form a piece of nigiri. This transparent beautiful fish has sweetness and slight bitterness.
