Unfortunately, the process is a bit clunky so it does take a few to finalize. It also appears that a couple of you have submitted the form and have not received the refund. If that is the case. Hello Everyone. I have been waiting to update you when I had some good news and that has yet to happen. I understand it seems super easy to put together money and reopen, believe me I wish it was. We've had multiple offers over the months and none were even remotely acceptable. We are currently negotiating and hopeful one will come to fruition soon.

Additionally, to the comments our AWESOME employees getting "screwed". Given the unforeseen circumstances, we did the best we could. All were 100% paid in full and on time, many given extra if needed, and I have yet to receive a single complaint from anyone. I speak with many of them regularly. Now, I understand the situation sucks, but we have never "screwed" anyone over, especially our AWESOME team.

Anyone who wants to reach out and discuss the details of why this happened, I am happy to fill you in. But, it's exactly what I said all along.

Regarding Gift Cards. I apologize if your refund has not been processed. I was under the impression all had been cleared. If you still need a refund, please email: [email protected]. I just looked through all our emails and refund requests and don't see any open issues. PLEASE do not rely on FaceBook to communicate as it is not being monitored full-time right now.

Again, I apologize to everyone for this situation, we are trying our best to recover and get 136 open as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support.

Hi Everyone. Sorry for the delayed update. I have been holding out for a deal we have been working on for weeks to finalize so I could send some great news, but that deal is still ongoing sorting through the details. So, we are still in a holding pattern trying to finalize a deal that will work. As always, your support is incredible and I will never be able to thank you all. We are keeping our fingers crossed. I will send another update when something happens. Thank you all. 🙏

Hi Everyone. It has been brought to my attention that there may be some people trying to capitalize on this tough situation we are in. The example I was sent is that someone is selling 136 T-shirts under the guise of being a fund raiser for the business. I can assure everyone we are not participating in this and have not authorized anyone to use our name or logo for any purpose. I apologize if any of you got scammed into this. I will keep you posted if I find out any additional details. Thank you.

Hello Everyone! Sorry for the delayed update. It's been a bit hectic, as you can imagine. Once again, thank you all sooo much for your support and kind words. This Birch Run community is truly special. We have been talking with multiple different people for various types of investments and are proceeding to next steps with a couple. The investment process can be complicated and we are moving a swiftly as possible, but there is still due diligence we must follow. So, ultimately, still no definitive reopen date, but we are remaining optimistic. The moment something definitive happens, I will post a complete update. THANK YOU ALL.🙏

Good Morning Everyone. I hope you are having a great weekend. Things with 136 are moving forward. The out-pour of positive support from everyone is incredible and we are all very grateful. Things are moving forward very well, we have various options currently on the table and others in the works. Still nothing definitive, but we remain very optimistic. I will continue to keep everyone posted. Just a quick follow up on the Gift Card Return Process, that should be live tomorrow, as expected. I will post the link as soon as it is ready. Hi Everyone, again, thank you for all the positive feedback and support. We are still working on solutions and focused on making sure the staff is taken care of. I'm not one to normally participate in social media banter, but I would like to dispose some of the rumors and comments. 1. Nobody died from food poisoning. 2. Nobody got food poisoning. 3. Our health department inspections are flawless. 4. I am not sure what a "Sysco Chef" is, but our chefs are incredible cooks and not affiliated with Sysco. 5. Do we buy Sysco ingredients, absolutely. But we do not buy any frozen meat or sub-grade meat. We do not buy ANYTHING prefabricated. 100% of every dish is designed inside 136 walls and prepared fresh. 6. Stock photos? What a great compliment, thank you. I took most every picture myself. None of our pics are stock. They are our actual 136 homemade food. And we are all super proud of it. 7. We have a very detailed business plan we have been following and it has worked wonderfully. However, we did not expect what happened with losing our phase III investor and we are doing everything we can to determine options. Finally, the Birch Run community and our 136 family of customers, vendors and staff, have been awesome. I will keep sending updates as we figure things out. Thank you. Conrad
