For Denise, it's personal. She puts her full self and all her love into everything she does. It's felt. What's more Streetside than the buffalo shrimp? For a lot of you, it's the non-negotiable start to the meal. It's been on the menu since the day we opened in 1995. Thirty-one years later, it's still the first thing on the table.

So when it came time to build this year's BirminghamBURGER, we didn't go looking for something new. We went straight to the most iconic dish we have.

We shaped the shrimp into a burger and made everything else exactly the way you know it. Same three-step breading. Fried crispy. Tossed in the same buffalo sauce. Sweet potato bun with our own everything bagel blend, Danish bleu cheese mousse, celery and green apple slaw, and house-made salt and vinegar chips on the side.

You've been ordering it as an appetizer for thirty-one years. For the month of October, it's also dinner.

And something this special deserves an equally special pour. Starting today, we're pouring Dom Pérignon 2015 by the glass. Our most iconic dish, paired with the most iconic name in Ch*****ne. The burger and a glass of Dom, $100.

Right above our chalkboard, the first thing you see walking in, there's a handprint pressed into the mortar. Look around long enough and you'll find more like it. Small, deliberate details, easy to miss on their own, that somehow add up to feeling like you've been coming here for years, even if it's your first time.

Most of our servers have been here since "app" just meant an order of buffalo shrimp, not Instagram or Venmo. Long enough to know what you like to drink, what your dog's name is, and how they like their green beans prepared.

Subway tile and Edison bulbs, you can order tomorrow. Thirty-one years of accumulated details, you can't. That's what turns a first visit into a regular, and a regular into family.
