Happy Easter!!!

Okay, I just decided to NOT open Saturday and just give the employees a long Easter weekend.

It will also give the snow removal folks a chance to clear the lot without a bunch of vehicles in the way.

Just a Heads up.

Since it isn't April without some sort of snow event, we have decided that Country House Deli and the Pig and Duck Pub will not be open Friday Night.

We WILL open for lunch on Friday however.

Saturday is sort of iffy. I won't know that until I wake up Saturday morning unfortunately.

I will keep you updated. In the mean time, have a snowcone.

Its a Blustery Day outside.

Due to the less than stellar weather, Country House is going to close early tonight, so we will only be open for TO GO orders from 4pm-6pm.

Annual Winter Break 5-12 January

Just letting everyone know that we will be open tomorrow (Saturday the 3rd) but will be taking our annual winter break next week, so it looks like Christmas leftovers for lunch until the 13th.

We do plan on taking a few trips
-a trip to grocery store
-a trip to the barber
-a trip to the deli for yearly maintenance tasks
-a trip to the couch for a nap

It is nice to be well travelled.

Merry Christmas

We will be handing out the remainder of our orders today from 9am to Noon.

We do have some extra goodies like buns, chex mix, beer cheese soup, salsa, ranch dip, and christmas cookies...and we managed to make a few extra 12" meat and cheese trays.

Oh...and of course emergency cheese balls. We are somewhat limited but they are here if you need them.

No Lunch Service This Week.

We are just pushing out all of our Christmas Orders today through Weds.

HOWEVER...
We do have some goodies that you can come in and purchase on those days.

Today we have cold beer cheese soup, Fiesta salsa, cheeseballs, spinach dip, chex mix, and christmas cookies.

Christmas reminder

Just reminding all that we will be cutting off Christmas week orders close of business 18 December so we can get our final food orders in on time.

The deli will also NOT be open for lunch next week (22-24 Dec). We will just be pushing out our holiday orders.

We will have some misc holiday items available to purchase during those days (22-24 Dec) in the event people are looking for some dips, cookies, chex mix, or an emergency cheeseball. Just stop by between 10am-5pm Mon and Tues, and 9-12 on Weds.

CLOSED TODAY...YUCKY WEATHER!

Country House is going to stay closed today (9 Dec) just for safety purposes. I know it is supposed to warm up today, but the roads are a mixed bag right now and our parking lot will likely be a bit slippery with the melting from the high winds later.

There is glaze ice which looks a lot like wet roads, so if you folks are going out, be careful. I saw 2 vehicles in the ditch already.

Better safe than sorry.

CHRISTMAS ORDERS

Christmas is coming fast and furious this year. Orders will need to be placed by the 18th. The 23rd and 24th will book up quickly. Early bird gets the cheeseball.

We are trying something a bit different this year. We are going to be open for catering and party apps from 22-24 December, but NOT for lunch. Hours for order pick ups will be

22 Dec: 10am-2pm
23 Dec: 10am-2pm
24 Dec: 9am-12pm

With our small staff, we need to be able focus on the holiday orders, allowing us to do more of them than we could if we tried doing both lunch and orders for those days.

So again...Christmas orders not later than the 18th, and no lunch counter 22-24 Dec.

MENU UPDATES

Just letting everyone know that we have purged a few of our sandwiches off the menu as they are the slowest movers.

The sandwiches are:

International
Smoked Turkey and Swiss
Southwestern
Texas
3-Cheese

We have also changed some names of a couple of the other sandwiches to make it easier for new customers to understand what the sandwich is.

We still have 30 different sandwiches to choose from and you can always do a make your own. We just want to be able to focus on the higher demand sandwiches.

Thanksgiving hours/days

CH Deli will be closed on Thanksgiving day. We will be open normal hours Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving, since we are closed on Mondays.

If you want an order for Thanksgiving week, orders MUST be placed no later than 20 November so we have time to get our own food orders placed with our vendors.

Open Halloween evening-normal hours.

Just for fun, I have decided to offer a special sandwich tomorrow night only. I call it the Silly Cheesesteak.

Imagine an 8 inch beer bread hoagie roll (made from scratch of course), toasted. Thin sliced prime rib topped with a bit of fried summer sausage and fried bologna, a layer of caramelized onions, and covered with my secret beer cheese sauce.

To make it more interesting, a small side of swangy relish (sweet and tangy) is included, to eat on its own or to add a final layer of yum to your sandwich.

I am limiting this to the first 25 people to ask for it.
..or you can just sit at home in your one size fits all fuzzy pants and gorge on candy.
