Hi lovely folks!
This year has certainly been a doozy, and social media fell to the bottom of the to-do list for a good minute, but we're back baby! We are still open Thursday-Sunday, and have so appreciated every bit of support, patience, and kindness our community shows us.

I think it's about time for an official introduction, my name is Gabriella, I have had the great pleasure to meet many of y'all over the past year and a half. I was born and raised in the Asheville area, and am so grateful to once again call
Black Mountain my home. Running a bakery is my dream come true, one I never thought possible. 5 years ago I started developing reactions to most foods (gluten included), so my bakery dream faded out of sight… until I moved back to Black Mountain just before Hurricane Helene, discovered the possibility Dough House would be closing, and couldn't let that happen. The need for vegan and safe gluten free options, is quite large, we have customers from far and wide who count on our allergen friendly options, and frankly, we often struggle to keep up with such a strong demand.

This has not been an easy task, but I want to continue this journey and grow the Dough House dream for as long as possible. Everything is made from scratch in our kitchen, which can be under-estimated how time consuming and expensive it is, but we know it's possible.
Since the beginning of the year we have experienced many challenges and setbacks, but have gotten this far, so there's no stopping us just yet. We are launching a Go-Fund-Me to try and help us continue moving forward at a steady pace, and continue to bring y'all the donuts you know and love.

-Our main donut fryer is on hiatus, more than likely needing to be replaced, (27 years old!)
-Our Gluten Free Fryer bit the dust.
-We have had to re-do kitchen plumbing, and are working on the bathroom next.
-Now we have electricity issues that will involve getting into the walls this fall when we slow down.
