We’re overflowing with pride for our former Goldfinch family member, Courtney, whose journey with her pottery brand, Wildfire Ceramic, is nothing short of inspiring. When Courtney first joined us at Goldfinch, (Feb 2024) she was already pouring her heart into Wildfire Ceramic, but struggling to find her true vibe—her unique voice in a sea of clay & creativity. She was searching for that sweet spot where her passion could fully bloom, and oh, has she found it!
This past summer, before Helene swept through, Courtney started to uncover the magic that would define her brand. She began experimenting, refining her style, and letting her creativity run wild. Then, when Helene forced us all to pause, Courtney turned that time into something extraordinary. With the world quieted, she dove deeper into her craft, shaping & firing pieces that now feel like love letters to Western North Carolina. During that shutdown, she didn’t just find her vibe—she owned it, and Wildfire Ceramic transformed into something truly iconic.
Her work is a vibrant celebration of WNC, with every piece telling a story. Delicate flowers, playful critters, gorgeous fruits & vegetables dance across her creations, capturing the heart & soul of our mountains. From cozy cups & bowls to travel mugs perfect for your morning hike, from charming spoon rests to flower pots that bring a touch of WNC to any space, Courtney’s designs are as functional as they are breathtaking. Each piece feels like a slice of home—warm, colorful, & rooted in the beauty of our region.
We’re so proud of Courtney for building Wildfire Ceramic into a brand that’s not only thriving but also leaving a mark on our community. (We’ll admit, we miss her at Goldfinch—she’s that busy now, and we love it!) Today, she’s showcasing her incredible work at her booth on Sutton by the caboose, we’re calling on all of you to stop by & support this remarkable woman. Check out her stunning cups, bowls, travel mugs, spoon rests, flower pots, & so much more. You’ll see why her designs are becoming iconic. Let’s show Courtney some WNC love & celebrate her artistry!
