What a great event!! Congrats Brooke, and JP on one year at “your house.” 😉 We appreciate you guys, and everything that you do to bring our community together!!
Good Sunday Morning Friends! Here's my proper LOOOONG thank-you post. Yes, long, (you've been warned 🙃) but lots of thank-you's need to be said.
So, yesterday exceeded my expectations. I KNEW everything about this event was going to turn out great... the only thing I was worried about was the weather. I'm a bit of a control freak (trust me, I'm very aware! 😆), so my inability to control the weather always throws me for a loop. But like I told folks all week, "It's going to be fine." And it was. More than fine. The little bit of rain we got early on was only enough to be annoying, and then it cleared up into a BEAUTIFUL day!
Again, a HUGE thank you to everyone who participated in Gather in the Green 2026! Your presence mattered more than you realize. The success of this event proved, in real time, what we knew to be true before we even opened RC201—that our community was hungry for something like this.
We heard all day long⬇️
"This is such a great way to use the greenspace!"
"I didn't even know this greenspace was here!"
"No one's ever thought of using it this way."
"Blanchardville needed this."
"What a great community event!"
The compliments just kept coming, and they made every bit of the overwhelm 🙃 I've felt over the past few months completely worth it. Events like this take an enormous amount of planning, organization, and communication...so you bet your bippies I'm pumped as hell that it was such a major success🙌
Back to my thank you's...
To our friends, the Saethers at Blanchard Hall —seriously, you guys... all.the.feels 🖤 Especially to our buddy Jeff, who, unexpectedly asked if they could sponsor Holy Coyote . That was such a wonderful surprise and truly shows how community-minded you all are. We've known that for a long time because of everything you've done to help revitalize Blanchardville, but this was just another example. We are so grateful for all of you and your support 🖤
Perfect segue into how appreciative we are to Kundert's Main Street Market —especially to Diana and Tiffany—for offering, organizing, and hosting a brat stand during Gather in the Green... and then going a step further by offering free brats to anyone who made a purchase! You guys are the best neighbors. We are so appreciative of your support and your countless efforts to keep our community thriving. You're the best!
To Tiffany (yes... the same Tiffany mentioned above 😉) from Blanchardville Community Pride —thank you for all your help with EVERYTHING Blanchardville. You're more than a go-to person; you're a wonderful human, and we're so glad to know you. And thank you to BCPI for the use of the bounce house, which was a GINORMOUS hit with the kids!
To Kayla at Fuel Good Nutrition —you think the way we do... community over competition. From sharing our posts to encouraging your customers to stop into RC201, it all truly matters. You understand that we all thrive when we support one another, and we're so thankful for you🖤
To Holy Coyote for the excellent music, Miss Tiffany, Miss Aries, and Anna for the amazing face painting and hair wrapping, Oak Springs Farm for the DIY Succulent Workshop, and Moonbeams In My Hands for the card readings—thank you for providing such fun offerings and activities!
To all of the vendors who participated... this event would not have been nearly as successful without you. I appreciate your willingness to try something new, your excitement, how easy you were to work with, and all the help you gave promoting the event. You guys rock🤘
A special thank you to Angie Gruenfelder of Angie Rae Wellness for so generously offering to help all day yesterday! We truly would not have been able to keep everything running as smoothly without you. Like I mentioned a few days ago, I needed a clone of myself... and Angie showed up to be exactly that. Thank you so much, Angie 🖤
And to Rural Wren and Suzy—thank you not only for bringing the RAD Community Art Project, but also for helping with teardown and cleanup after the festivities ended. We appreciate you so much!
Another big thank you to Dex. Although he wasn't super jazzed about getting up early on a Saturday to help his parents run a community event... he did just that. He helped vendors, pitched in wherever he was needed, and thoroughly enjoyed working with Rural Wren on the Community Art Project. He had a great time, and I think we've finally earned enough street cred that he now thinks his parents' business is actually legit🤘 That's saying a lot.
If I missed someone, I truly am sorry. There are so many thank-yous to be said because we have so much to be thankful for🖤
Okay! That's a wrap on my blabbing... and I need a minute to stop the gratitude tears🥹
I'll be putting together a fun reel to capture the vibe of Gather in the Green sometime this week because it really was just the coolest thing to experience😎 And I'll be announcing the drawing winners of both giveaways...the food drive donation giveaway that benefits The Pecatonica Area Food Pantry , and the winner of goods from our friends at Valhalla Hills Farm and beef from us at Paulson Grass Fed Beef . So much goodness is swirling around 🥰
Thanks again, everyone! Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend! And if you're looking for something to do today, we're open from 9–2, so stop in and say hi!
Oh, and mark your calendars for Gather in the Green 2027...Saturday, July 3rd 2027. Be there or be square 😉
