Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our diner. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for delivering a high-quality dining experience. You will be responsible for managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient service, and maintaining a positive atmosphere for both customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of dining room and kitchen staff.
Ensure exceptional customer service by monitoring staff performance and addressing customer concerns.
Manage daily operations, including staffing, inventory, and scheduling.
Oversee food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the diner, including dining areas, kitchen, and bathrooms.
Manage cash handling, daily revenue, and other financial tasks (e.g., preparing daily sales reports, balancing the cash register).
Train, motivate, and evaluate staff to ensure high performance and efficiency.
Handle any employee issues or conflicts in a professional and timely manner.
Develop and implement procedures for food safety and sanitation in accordance with local health regulations.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to create and maintain a menu that meets customer preferences and seasonal availability.
Order supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure efficient operation and prevent shortages.
Assist with marketing initiatives to promote the diner and increase customer loyalty.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., health codes, labor laws).
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a manager or supervisor in a food service environment.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proven ability to manage a team and create a positive work
environment.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 60lbs regularly.
Must be able to work in a busy and sometimes loud environment.
