Hello Crafty Bean Friends, family and followers,
Excuse the lengthy post.
In recent weeks (mostly since Dad passed) some of you may have heard me discuss closing the cafe. With so many factors involved in running the coffee shop, Tom & I have decided that it is in the best interest of our family to do so, effective immediately.
Minimum wage is going up (again), the cost of raw coffee is forecasted to go up almost 70% due to a drought in South America and the cost of disposable supplies brought in from overseas rising are all issues we would be facing. We have tried very hard not to pass rising costs on to our customers. These, in addition to a few other, factors are driving this difficult decision.
I would love to continue baking for all of you! I’d like to take catering and full loaf/cake and cookie or cupcake orders from anyone, using shared kitchens as I have been doing. Contact me here on facebook through The Crafty Bean page.
I will sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, miss all of my customers, especially those I have gotten to know by seeing on a daily basis. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to say hello or just chat!

Hi Crafty Bean Friends! We hope everyone is enjoying this last weekend before Christmas.

We wanted to leave a quick reminder that we will be closed tomorrow- Sunday, 12/22/24- for a private event.

Order pick up on Monday will begin at 11am, but the coffee shop will still be closed.

Tuesday is Christmas Eve and we will be in 8am till noon.

Even though I’m usually The Grinch and love to hang out with Jack Frost and celebrate Christmas With the Kranks, tonight I won’t be Scrooged and instead will Jingle All the Way in with Elf and Krampus so we can tell A Christmas Story!

Book club is open to all- it’s just a time to sit, sip and read in peace.
Wrapping will be available all week for anyone that needs a spot to finish up getting tiose treasures ready.
