An intimate night at the bar with Chef John, Maria Helm-Sinskey ~ a multi-course menu, and wines thoughtfully paired throughout the evening.

These are the nights we love most 🤍 good food, great wine, and a room full of people who are just as excited about the story behind the table as they are about what’s on it.

A few moments from past Cookbook Club dinners 🍽️the kind of nights that remind us why we love doing them!

For Chef John, the Chickadee Cookbook Club is a chance to dig into recipes from chefs and writers he admires, explore their point of view, and bring that inspiration to the table in our own way.

For everyone who joins us, it’s a night built around good food, conversation, and the kind of community that happens when people gather over a meal they’re genuinely excited about.

🍴Up next: Two nights featuring “Chi Spacca” by Nancy Silverton on Wednesday, June 3rd and Thursday, June 4th at 6:30pm.

🍷 We’re also hosting our Chickadee x Robert Sinskey Vineyards Wine Dinner on Wednesday, May 20th, with Maria Helm-Sinskey joining us for an intimate multi-course tasting menu with wine pairings.

Our next Cookbook Club brings us to the bold, ingredient-driven world of

On Wednesday, June 3rd and Thursday, June 4th at 6:30pm, we’ll be cooking from “Chi Spacca”, the cookbook inspired by Silverton’s beloved Los Angeles restaurant known for its fire-driven cooking, Italian influence, and unapologetically generous approach to meat, bread, and the table. 🍽️

A celebrated chef, baker, restaurateur, and cookbook author, Silverton is known for shaping the way people think about bread, Italian cooking, and restaurant hospitality… and this menu is very much in that spirit!

The evening will move through Focaccia di Recco, Insalata Primavera, Roasted Yellowtail, Moorish Lamb Shoulder Chops, Porcini-Rubbed Short Ribs, and Butterscotch Budino to finish.

Come hungry, bring someone fun, and settle in for a very good night. 🥂

On Wednesday, May 20th, Chef John and Maria Helm-Sinskey are coming together for an intimate multi-course tasting menu with wine pairings, conversation, and a seat at the bar for just 16 guests. 🍇

Think of it like our Cookbook dinners, with a vineyard twist - a chance to enjoy each pairing, hear the story behind the wines, and spend the evening with Chef John and Maria as the menu unfolds.

$250 per ticket, including dinner and pairings.
6:30–9:30pm. 🍷
