We are sorry to say we are closing our doors after 25 years serving the community (literally). Sadly COVID-19 has impacted this industry. We are unable to maintain our establishment. Over the the years we have enjoyed the wonderful staff, community members, students and the various vibrant visitors that have visited our pub. It has been a second home to many. We will miss everyone in the community that visited for a day, a semester or for years.
We apologize for the short notice, but times as they are we have to use our limited time left in the area to close up. As of now our doors are closed to the public. Thank You all once again, stay well and stay safe.

Sorry, all, of course we'll be complying with the state's mandate that we close from March 17 - April 6th.

Please be safe and practice social distancing -- this global pandemic is serious and we'd love for all our friends to get through it healthily. Avoid crowds, stay at home when possible, and rest assured we'll be ready to go when it's safe for the community.

We're not going anywhere, and are committed to being a staple of the Cambridge community, when it's safe to do so. We'll see you on the other side. Thank you so much for your support!

Tim personally writing this. Many, many thanks to everyone who swung by our pub tonight and helped our fundraiser for Shannon. I'd say it was a resounding success. Thanks to my coworkers/our volunteer coworkers for donating their time, many thanks to my boss/our owner for generously supporting as well, many thanks to our close friends for their time and and outgoing effort who ran the raffle and ongoing silent auction, thanks to the beer companies and distributors and nearby restaurants who pitched in on raffle/auction/food items, thanks to everyone who helped get the word out, and thanks to our nearby pub friends allowing us to advertise in their spaces, and most importantly thank you so much to you all who came in to have a good time and generously support Shannon. I know many of you went out of your way for this, thank you so much. You have all helped our friend and pub-family member manage the cost of a terrible disease a bit better, and it humbles us greatly that we could be a part of bringing all of you together for it. I know our social media presence has been mostly on this topic the past couple weeks, we're still the same pub and will do all the things we regularly do, thanks for bearing with us and being on board with this event. 4 teams remain, 4 matches remain. obviously it's going to be ireland/usa in the finals. but if i mixed this up somehow, fine. we'll be open tue/wed for semis, sat for 3rd place, sunday the finals are at 11am we'll have doors open by 10:30am. sorry, final will be 21+ (younger children we can probably let in, but can't keep track of 15-20). come on by, it'll be a good time.

sorry we couldn't show the 8am matches in the group stage, but we are absolutely opening at 10am for every knockout match, from when the knockout stage started until the finals. door might be _right_ at 10am, or close to it, but yes, we're open, for every match for the rest of the world cup! come on by!

facebook told me "many people who like the field pub are on around 10pm, post an update!" it's 1pm right now btw. but ok. hi, we're the field, we like you, please come visit our bar we're cool and have beer and food and stuff i don't know whatever. we don't really do advertising and social media but facebook just told us to so here we are. we're just kind of a laid back chill pub with awesome people. see you soon maybe.

We currently have Castle Island's Jetty, a dry-hopped sour ale, on draft, for about another month or 2 on now. Seasonally we'll probably be switching to a good Rising Tide porter after that, but stay tuned. Come check out the sour for now though, it's local and it's good!

it's a little cooler tonight but did you know The Field also has indoor space with a friendly staff, pool, darts, and awesome people to talk to kind of everywhere? just sayin'. and yes our patio is still open all summer/autumn long!
