DROUGHT WATCH REMINDER:
Seasonal snow pack is lower than normal and Spring temperatures are higher than normal.
The City of Boulder is has sent out reminders that grass lawns may remain dormant until May even in hot conditions.
The City has published the following requests for residents to help mediate the impacts;
Wait to Water Lawns
Lawns and grassy areas that aren't heavily used can remain dormant until May
Care for Trees
Prioritize outdoor water use for trees is important to keep them healthy during dry conditions.
Plan a Waterwise Yard
These yards are designed to conserve water, reduce maintenance, and thrive in drier climates.
Practice Indoor Water Savings
