Hey friends! This is a bittersweet post, and I wish I was just taunting you with cheesecake and flourless chocolate...but alas. After 17 amazing years, I have decided to shut down Sweet Pea Bakery.
I built your wedding cake, back when I was a greenhorn in the industry, then I made your baby’s first birthday cake. Now, I make their Sweet Sixteen. Just like my baby, who many of you watched grow up from newborn to a brilliant and badass young woman.
I thank you endlessly for your relentless support over the years. We’ve done good work and created a lot of memories. It’s the reason I’ve stuck with this as long as I have. I’ve loved getting to know you. We’ve become friends, shared stories about our lives, our kids, and just laughed our faces off.
Although I’ll miss it tremendously, I’m excited about this new change and stability. I’m stoked to have a job, a paycheck, and time. Time back to spend with my kid, my family, and my friends.
I’ll also miss spending 5 days a week with Dottie-Michelle Coffey. Thanks for being an epic partner in crime for the past decade!
