Bloodroot Gap at Brandon Music December 11th
For the final concert of 2021 Brandon Music welcomes Bloodroot Gap to Brandon Music on Saturday December 11th at 7:30pm. Performing their special combination of bluegrass, jazz, Celtic and traditional American string music, this concert promises an incredible evening of entertainment from some of Vermont’s finest musicians.
Formed after a serendipitous jam session at a Vermont bluegrass festival, Bloodroot Gap is a musical collaboration between brothers Rob McCuen on mandolin and guitar and Jim McCuen on upright bass (of Swing Noire fame), Freeman Corey playing traditional fiddle (notably of Catamount Crossing and Big Spike Bluegrass),and Jake Munson, singer and playing guitar adding more depth and complexity to their unique Vermont rich sound. Jake has performed onstage with nationally recognized, award winning instrumentalists like mandolinist Matt Flinner and banjoist and composer, Jake Schepps.
