Hello, this is City Buffet. We would like to make a statement on a recent post/incident regarding our customer. First and foremost we would like to apologize for this situation, it is completely unacceptable and certainly not the standard that we strive for at our restaurant. We have conducted an extensive investigation of all of our products in the facility and found no evidence of such maggots. However, since we use fresh vegetables, bugs are inevitable, despite thorough cleaning, and like any business, we handle and deal with products that come from various farms and suppliers. We are just a small business, and we are still prone to making occasional missteps as part of our continuous development. However, our continued goal for the restaurant is still to ensure fresh food and good service for our customers, which is why we take situations as such seriously. The man mentioned in the post did not tell the manager right away, but as soon as the manager was informed we took immediate action. We apologize for this oversight and will better ourselves as a restaurant. We ask that this community allows us some time to work with the health board to further investigate this matter and to ensure that our business is kept to the highest standard possible. Once again, as a small business, we’ve been open in Breaux Bridge for many years now and are residents of this area, with our kids and ourselves being members of this community. We appreciate the support and feedback we’ve received from you all and will always continue to better ourselves. Thank you for understanding.
