We have a special night of karaoke in store for you! Come sing through the decades with us. Karaoke will start at 7:00 this evening and we encourage you to sing your favorite tracks from the 70s from 7:00-8:00, your favorite 80s anthems from 8:00-9:00, 90s bangers from 9:00 to 10:00 and whatever the heck you want from 10:00 to 11:00.

Trivia will resume next week at 7:00 for the kick off of our summer season.

For nearly 25 years, Jay Sanders was the low-end anchor for Acoustic Syndicate, a band that has for decades been setting the pace for a style of music that fuses southern roots music, bluegrass, rock and roll, and a healthy dose of improvisation in an approach that now permeates the American music scene. Hailed as a progenitor of and inspiration to generations of jam and jamgrass bands, the group took its North Carolina-bred sound across the country more times than anyone kept count, appearing at Farm Aid, MerleFest, and Bonnaroo while releasing eight records, including two for Sugar Hill Records. Sanders held down that bass chair for a quarter century, the rhythmic and harmonic foundation beneath everything the band built.

So happy to see this collaboration come together.

With cuts to public radio funding we gotta look out for our friends at WNCW. What this station does to promote and build the local music scene is so crucial!

Noblebräu and Oskar Blues got together and brewed a Kentucky Common Ale that we are dubbing a “Carolina Common” made with locally malted barley and heirloom corn from Riverbend Malt House.

Both taprooms ( 185 King Street and Oskar Blues) will be tapping the beer at noon and a portion of the day sales will be going back to our favorite listener supported radio station!
