Saturday, May 9th Daily Specials

Tonight is a first in Halfway House history… after 54 years, we are officially hosting our very first prom! The Quilcene Rangers are taking over the restaurant for one unforgettable Casino Royale night, and honestly… we’re pretty sure this place has never looked fancier.

Huge shoutout to our incredible staff for pulling this all together. The dance floor is ready, the DJ has arrived all the way from Cle Elum and is ready to rock the house (she’s also one of the top entertainers at ShrimpFest, so you might even see a guitar and hear some real singing so grab your dates during the slow songs), Katrina and the baking crew are putting together 500 fresh-baked cupcakes for the dessert table, and yes… there will absolutely be a chocolate fountain. Because apparently prom now requires more chocolate than W***y Wonka’s factory.

We’re excited to try something completely different tonight. Usually, Saturday nights around here involve Prime Rib, Seahawks talk, and somebody asking for extra ranch. Tonight it’s tuxes, dresses, mocktails, and teenagers pretending they don’t see their parents taking pictures.

Just a reminder that the Prom Committee arrives at 2 PM to decorate, so we’ll be closing at 2 PM today. Prime Rib Night is moving to Mother’s Day because let’s be honest… moms deserve Prime Rib. They are prime.

Happy Friday!!! We are gearing up for one absolutely wild weekend at the Halfway House. We’ll go from hosting a full blown Prom on Saturday to celebrating Mother’s Day on Sunday. One minute it’s “shake, not stirred,” the next it’s “did you remember your jacket?” and “text me when you get there.”

Honestly, the building is about to experience the full power of motherhood in real time.

To all the moms out there, thank you for everything you do. We know this weekend means:
• fixing ties
• taking prom photos
• giving last minute life advice
• pretending not to cry during photos
• and somehow still making it to brunch looking amazing

And of course, it wouldn’t be Friday without a dad joke:

Just a reminder that this Saturday (May 9th) we’ll be closing at 2:00 PM for a very special event — the Quilcene High School Casino Royale Prom! 🎲♠️♦️

And wow…we are going all out for this one.

We’ve got:
• A live DJ experience by Jodi Ryan Music
• Mocktails…shaken, not stirred 🍸
• A chocolate fountain
• An incredible dessert tower created by our very own Baker Katrina Boling
• Red carpet and step-and-repeat photos
• A photo booth
• Casino-style games where you can go all in and “ride it on black”

This is shaping up to be an unforgettable night for these students, and we’re honored to help make it special.

We are also still looking for a few nicer outdoor couches or lounge-style patio pieces for the firepit lounge area. If anyone has something we could borrow for the evening, we’d greatly appreciate it! We can pick it up and return it right after the event.

And because of prom, our famous Saturday Prime Rib Night is moving Sunday to Mother’s Day! We’ve attached the special menu, and it’s going to be a great one.

Reservations aren’t required, but if you’d like us to save you a table, just give us a call at 360-796-4715 and we’ll make sure Mom is taken care of.

Thursday, May 7th Daily Specials

It’s a Victory Thursday! Huge congratulations to our Quilcene Lady Rangers Fast Pitch Team for clinching the SeaTac League Championship yesterday! We had an absolute blast celebrating with Ranger Victory Shakes because winners deserve gold victory sprinkles.

And another big shoutout to our Rangers Baseball Team for also bringing home the SeaTac Championship! We couldn’t make it out to the final home game, but boys, come on in because the Victory Shake is on us.

Now both teams continue the road to districts. Let’s keep the momentum rolling… LET’S GO RANGERS! ⚾🥎

Goodbye, April… you treated us well. ☀️

Well… about 33 years ago I was on ASB in high school helping plan prom. Fast forward a few decades, and somehow I’m back on the prom committee again… and loving every minute of it.

We’re fired up to be hosting the 2026 Ranger Prom on May 9th right here at the Halfway House. We’re transforming the restaurant into a full “Casino Royale” experience… the gambling and the martinis might be fake, but the DJ, I assure you is real.

Quick ask from the community 👇
We’re building an outdoor fire pit lounge in our picnic area and looking to borrow:
• Outdoor couches or deck furniture
• Gas fire pits
