Hey Lighthouse family!

Sorry for such a delayed update, but we did promise to keep y’all updated on where the staff went.

Our amazing cook, Marie, is putting her culinary skills to use at Aubrey’s! 👩🏼‍🍳

Moriah went with a bit of a change of pace and is an account and payroll administrative assistant for a local company.

Jason, our guy that held down the back of the house as our dishwasher and busboy, has been putting his skills to use at Southern Craft with one of our previous cooks, Craig!

Mom and Pa are enjoying each other’s company and the very much earned, retired life ☺️

With it being race week in Bristol, we definitely are going to miss our race fans/family! Y’all always gave us a BUSY, entertaining and memorable time! 🏁

Today we wrapped up our very last chapter here at the Old Lighthouse Diner. We are so very grateful for everyone that walked through those doors that helped us create the legacy that we leave behind.

The amount of love, support, and patronage we received from each and everyone of you has been so overwhelmingly appreciated. We want to thank you again for letting us be a part of your lives for as long as we have. We will miss each and everyone of you.

Since our announcement of our closing date, there has been many tears, both happy and sad. It is a very bittersweet feeling locking the doors for the last time.

Many of our customers have asked to keep them posted regarding the future employment of our cook (Marie), dishwasher (Jason) and manager (Moriah) so that they can come see them wherever they may go. As we get updates, we will keep y’all posted. Thank you for loving and caring for our staff so much 🤍

Over the past few days, we’ve been doing our best to get pictures with many of our extended Lighthouse family members. If we missed you, we apologize! We wish we would’ve thought of this sooner, but the emotions of our decision were just so very high that we overlooked doing that. Most of these are from the past few days, but we will also have a few from the years past. A second post will be made with more pictures due to the amount limited per post. If you happen to have any that you’d like to share with us, please feel free to post them in our comments! We’d love to see them!

So, with the heavy heart, we have officially closed our doors. Thank you for supporting us from June 1, 2012 until July 13, 2024 🤍

Tomorrow will be the start of our last week of operation! We’d love to see all of you one more time before we close the doors at the end of the day Saturday! Please keep in mind that we are running out all of our inventory, so there may be a few items towards the end of of the week that we will be out of.

We will be having all Pepsi fountain drinks for $1.99 with the purchase of any breakfast or lunch combo!

The Old Lighthouse family is truly going to miss each and every one of our customers, friends and family that have made it possible for us to keep our doors open for the past 12 years! 🤍

After 12 successful years in the business, we made the extremely difficult decision to close our doors. This has not been an easy decision to make by any means. The health and wellbeing of the staff and owners has always been a priority and dependable staff is not something that is in abundance these days.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to the many years of patronage and support that y’all have provided. We have developed so many relationships over the years with our customers and many have truly become like family.

We have had the pleasure of seeing so many families and individuals grow up and share memories with us. Whether it be witnessing first dates, engagements, showing off their brand new babies, loss of a loved one, anniversaries, birthdays, sports team gatherings, etc. And we for sure don’t want to leave out our many regular NASCAR race fans that have been a pleasure to serve race after race. You all hold a special place in our hearts.

So, before the doors lock for good, please do us the honor of sharing one last meal and memory with you and your family. We love and will miss you all dearly.

Our last day of operation will be Saturday, July 13th, from 7:30am-1:30pm. We hope to see you again and wish the best for you all 🤍
