My male co-worker was getting married, so we gave him a shower at work. So much fun!

Did you know a shower for a guy is called a groom's roast? Me either. Lol.

Mike is an avid fisherman, so that was the theme. I broke out my DIY skills and made fishing bobber lanterns and decor, and a coral reef that Spongebob would love. I'm obsessed with pool noodle crafts now. 😂

A Smores cake, swamp water lemonade and "fish and chips" helped round out the eats. I even broke down and made bobber cake pops. They're the devil but matched the theme so I took one for the team. 😊

It's Shout Out Sunday!!!

I want to tell you about Hive Bakery, , located in Flower Mound, Texas. In addition to making awesome custom cakes and pastries, Haley Popp and her team are fierce, vocal supporters of many causes and groups, such as Black Lives Matter, the LGBTQ community, and women's rights.

Because of Haley letting her pro-choice stance be known, she's been called every name in the book, online and in person. Some have even vowed to shut her down. 😡 Well, guess what? Her many supporters have kept the bakery sold out for days! Those are some of her amazing goodies in the attached pics.

While I can't purchase her awesome treats since I'm in Illinois, I can buy a shirt to show my support, which you see me wearing in the picture.

Two cakes from last week.

Granddaughter #2 turned 10 and loves the game Animal Crossing, which I had never heard of. Lemon cake with homemade lemon curd and lemon buttercream.

Second is carrot cake with pineapple and cream cheese frosting, plus the homemade caramel drip. 😋

The details:

- Chicken pieces are cake pop dough, covered in buttercream and then rolled in cornflakes and airbrushed.
- Biscuit is airbrushed fondant
- Mashed potatoes are vanilla buttercream with chocolate "gravy".

Now I'm hungry! 😋
