Established nearly 50 years ago, The Pondfield Cafe is a luncheonette which packs a lot of punch in a small space. Open for Breakfast and Lunch 7 days a week and dinner is also served on Thursday nights. "The Pondfield" is one of the best kept secrets of the generally overpriced and high end Bronxville area. Serving up breakfast treats such as banana-nut pancakes and probably the best omelet you w

ill ever eat, The Pondfield also caters to the health conscious offering omelets made with egg whites separated right in front of you (no cartons of egg product here). For lunch, choose from the numerous big, delicious, and freshly made salads (The Pondfield Salad is a must) or sandwiches made from fresh sliced high quality deli meats served up on crusty hard rolls delivered daily. To one-up their usual menu loaded with all the favorites, there is a constant rotation of a variety of breakfast and lunch specials. A more recent addition, Thursday night dinner offers classic favorites such as Meatloaf, Baked Chicken, Steak, and Salads. Don't let the casual ambiance fool you, dinner is true home cooking, everything is very fresh and very good. The homemade mashed potatoes will have your head in the clouds. Weekend mornings there are always packed with locals who always keep coming back so get there early. And if you're on the go, the entire menu is always available for Take Out.
