This popped up today, and I just had to share it again!
A few years back, Only In Mississippi did this sweet little feature on Dude’s Hot Biscuits and they reposted it. Yes, it’s an older article and a few things may have changed since then, but the heart of Dude’s is still the same.
It’s always fun to look back and see a little piece of our history through someone else’s eyes. We’re so thankful for every person who has walked through our doors, sat at our picnic tables, grabbed breakfast on the go, and helped make Dude’s what it is today.
So here’s a little throwback from Only In Mississippi… because some memories are just too good not to share again.
And as always, thank y’all for loving our little place as much as we do!

When you run out of flour in a biscuit shop, that’s means one thing!! You have been incredibly BLESSED!!
Friday was almost a record-breaking day, and Saturday wasn’t far behind. We are overwhelmed with gratitude!

We know some waits were longer than usual, and we truly appreciate your patience and kindness while our crew worked as hard and fast as possible.

Our community is more than a group of customers—you’ve become friends and have supported us through everything. Friday and Saturday were a beautiful reminder of how blessed we are.

GOOD NEWS FROM DUDE’S!

After a pretty trying week of running short-handed, we’ll have a FULL CREW tomorrow! And we have my family
that in my opinion are some pretty special people to thank for helping us get there.
My niece Sam is stepping in tomorrow to help fill the gap, and you just might see good ole Mitch show up again too! At this point, if you’re family, you may want to avoid making eye contact with me because I might put an apron on you!
But I don’t want to forget the ones who have already jumped in this week. Jason came in Tuesday and helped us when we were short-handed, my sister Angie stepped up and was there today, and Mitch, who I’ve considered my brother since I was about 12 years old, came in and rolled up his sleeves to help us out too.
When things get tough, you realize just how blessed you are to have people who will drop what they’re doing, walk through that door and say, “What do you need me to do?”
And to our amazing customers who have become friends and family, THANK YOU. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, your kind words and, most of all, for sticking with us through a week that has definitely tested us.
Tomorrow we’re back with a FULL CREW and ready to sling some biscuits!
We appreciate every single one of you more than you know.

The past few weeks have been a little tough here at Dude’s. For one reason or another, we just haven’t had our full crew, and this week has honestly been one of the most trying weeks we’ve experienced in a long time.
We’ve been short at least two employees every day, three on one day, and we’ll be down three again today. Our little crew that is here is running, hustling, and doing everything they possibly can to keep those biscuits coming and get everyone on their way.
So, if your wait has been a little longer than usual, please bear with us. We sincerely apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience and understanding more than you know.
We’re hoping everyone will be feeling better and back on their feet soon, and that next week we’ll finally be back to “normal”…
Whatever normal is around here at this point. 😂🤦‍♀️
Thank you for continuing to show up, support us, and give our crew a little extra grace on the hard days. We truly do have the BEST customers, and we appreciate every single one of you!
And, say a prayer for our girls that are feeling under the weather.

🇺🇸 LABOR DAY WEEKEND HOURS

We’re taking Ovid’s advice and giving our wonderful Dude’s crew a little well-deserved rest this Labor Day weekend!

Dude’s Hot Biscuits will be CLOSED
Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7.
We’ll reopen Tuesday, September 8 at 4:00 AM, rested, refreshed, and ready to get those hot biscuits rolling again!
We hope all of you have a safe, happy, and relaxing Labor Day weekend with the people you love.

And as always, THANK YOU for your continued loyalty, friendship, and support of Dude’s. We never take for granted that you choose to walk through our doors, share your mornings with us, and support our little hometown business. You’re so much more than customers to us. ONE MORE BISCUIT MORNING BEFORE THE LONG WEEKEND!

Before you start that Labor Day weekend, you’d better make one very important stop… DUDE’S! 😋
We’ll be up bright and EARLY tomorrow morning at 4:00 AM, serving up those hot, fresh biscuits, eggs, crispy bacon, grits and all your Dude’s favorites!

And remember… once we close tomorrow, you’re on your own until Tuesday morning! 😂 So you might want to grab an extra biscuit or two for later. We won’t judge!

Come see us tomorrow, bring a friend, feed the crew at work, or pick up breakfast for the whole family before everybody heads out for the long weekend.

Open Friday at 4:00 AM!
