Today wasn’t just another busy day.

Every pizza we made, every wing we dropped, every phone call we answered, and every order that walked out our door was a reminder that a small business only survives because of the people who choose to support it.

There are a lot of places you could spend your hard-earned money, and the fact that so many of you continue to choose us means more than you’ll ever know.

What you see is pizza. What we see is another day our employees can provide for their families, another day the lights stay on, another day we get to keep doing something we genuinely love.

Some days are exhausting. Some days are stressful. But days like today remind us exactly why we do it.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for showing up for us. We don’t take a single order, customer, or kind word for granted.

We are incredibly lucky to have the community we do.

Today’s specials are in honor of a man who would have absolutely made sure everyone knew it was his birthday. ❤️

My Pap was the greatest man I’ve ever known. He was the kind of man who would do anything for anyone, especially his family. He was the best Pap, grandfather, and role model we could have ever asked for. But what made him even more special to me was how much he believed in me.

When I had dreams, he believed in them. When I doubted myself, he didn’t. He was one of the biggest supporters of me, this pizza shop, and everything I wanted to accomplish. He always believed I could do it, even when I wasn’t so sure myself. A big piece of The Pizza Plug exists because of the confidence, encouragement, and love he poured into me.

So today, we’re celebrating him the best way we know how—with good food, family, memories, and a whole lot of love.

If you’re lucky enough to still have your Pap, Grandpa, Dad, or someone who believes in you, give them a hug today. Tell them you love them. Those conversations become memories faster than we ever expect.

And if you’re missing someone like I am today, take comfort in knowing that the people who truly loved us never really leave us. Their lessons, their faith in us, and their love live on in everything we do.
