In the summer of 2012 we opened Cafe 25:35 in Old Town Buckeye.
Over the past 13 years I have gone through so much. Both as a person and a business owner.
The Cafe is a life long dream come true. For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a chef and restaurant owner. I wanted to create a place for families and friends to gather. I wanted to do it place that has given me so much. There was never any question that Old Town is the right place to be.
After countless eggs being flipped, thousand of gallons of gravy being made and an untold number of burgers served… Sunday May 18th will be the last service for Cafe 25:35.
I’m sure from your perspective this seems sudden. From our perspective this is something we did not decide lightly. We were discerning with our choice as to who would follow us in the space. As for the building it’s self…
It will be closed for a short time. A new concept will fill the space and they will add their chapters to its story.
I will let them introduce themselves.
Stay tuned for their announcement!
As I close this chapter of my life there are a few people I want to thank.
I want to thank them for their personal contributions to the Cafe. Each one of you played a part in our success. Please know I appreciate everything.
John Oliver, Robert Rose, Ethan Busby, Charlie Perez, Melanie Morris and Chip Kennedy.
To all the Cafe crew members through the years. Thank you for being the heart of the Cafe. None of it could have happened without you.
There are a few others that have been there for me in many ways.
Andy Therkildsen. Thank you for all help and the advice. Sorry I didn’t always listen😂
Hugh Hayden & Dick Cardew. Thanks for listening when I just needed to vent.
My Dad & Mom. Thank you for believing in me.
My sister Terra Duke. Thank you for always being my trusted sounding board and favorite sister.😉
My kids… Quin, Emme, Abi and Waylon. Thank you for being my motivation to get out of bed on the hard days and for many times being the bright spot in my day.
To my loving wife.
Candi Youngker.
Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough…
Thank you for putting up with my s**t.
Thank you for reminding me that the angry chef is not welcome at home.
Thank you for loving me for me. I know it’s not easy.
Thank you for being a spectacular wife to me and an unbelievable mother to our kids.
I wouldn’t be me without you.
Lastly…
To the people of Buckeye.
Thank you for being the best part of Cafe 25:35.
It’s been a hell of a ride.
With love,
Chef Tony Youngker
