The 2026 Buffalo Gap Wine & Food Summit showed up big at Perini Ranch Steakhouse and so did everyone who made the trip to Buffalo Gap, Texas. We marked 21 years of the Summit the best way we know: premium beef, mesquite fire, and long-table dinners done the Perini Way.

This year’s “Italianity” theme brought a fresh edge with classic Italian wines, bold flavors, and plenty of reasons to raise a glass. Under the tent, it was equal parts wine education and ranch party, with guests tasting, asking questions, and settling in for the full experience.

A highlight of the weekend was the master class with Jessica Dupuy. She broke down key Italian varietals with clarity and purpose, connecting each wine back to its region and structure. It was practical, approachable, and exactly what people came to learn.

Out of the kitchen and off the mesquite grill, the Perini Ranch team kept the focus on what defines us: Certified Angus Beef® and real Texas cooking. The menu opened with a tinned fish tasting, then moved into Italian-inspired dishes that led straight back to our core: mesquite-grilled steaks in Buffalo Gap, Texas. The 40 oz Certified Angus Beef® Prime Porterhouse closed the evening family-style. It was thick-cut, perfectly seared, and built for sharing. It’s the kind of steakhouse experience that makes Perini Ranch Steakhouse a destination for Texas beef, ranch-to-table dining, and mesquite-grilled flavor.

As we reflect on this year’s 20th Buffalo Gap Wine & Food Summit, our hearts are full. Thank you for being part of such a meaningful celebration of food, wine and community, hosted here at Perini Ranch.

From the warmth of Perini’s Italian Table on Friday evening, to the fun and educational tasting of Texas Wines vs. The World, to Saturday night’s unforgettable 90/90 Celebration of Chef Jacques Pépin, every moment was made more special by your presence.

We were honored to raise a glass with you in tribute to culinary legends, toast to all winemakers and savor each delicious bite together under the wide Buffalo Gap sky. These memories, and the connections made, are what make the Summit truly extraordinary.

A heartfelt thank you to The Dian Graves Owen Foundation, whose generous sponsorship and continued support over the past 20 years made this weekend possible. We are thrilled to welcome Tribeca Wine Merchants to our 20th Annual Buffalo Gap Wine & Food Summit this April!

Tribeca Wine Merchants, under the leadership of Ben Aneff, is a celebrated fine wine retailer recognized as one of “America’s Best Wine Shops” by Food & Wine Magazine and an “Editor’s Favorite” by Wine Spectator. Ben is also President of the U.S. Wine Trade Alliance and serves on the board of the National Association of Wine Retailers, playing a pivotal role in shaping wine policy and trade advocacy.

His expertise is frequently sought by major publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and Wine Spectator. Ben has testified before the International Trade Commission and regularly collaborates with Congressional offices to promote a fair wine market.

Abilene native and proud Texas Tech University graduate, he now resides in New York City with his family.
