Delivery | Dinner | $60–70
La Pizza Club is the perfect neighborhood pizza place. Quality food, fairly priced, and quick turn around, even during busy hours. But the reason I felt compelled to write a review was because of their consistently great service. Typically, I run in and pick up my order - but recently I decided to order delivery and was blown away. It wasn't the delivery speed or the flavor of the food, but the customer service that seemed so ordinary yet so above & beyond at the same time. The young man that delivered seemed happy to make sure my wife & i were fed. He asked if it was our first time ordering, and when I mentioned that we frequent La Pizza Club a couple times a month, he just seemed genuinely psyched. The way he thanked me left an impression. He said *HE* really appreciated it - which surprised me considering he was just doing his job and delivering.
Let's be honest, most customer service interactions are cold at best, and the industry standard is certainly not what we were used to growing up. But this guy made me feel like it was the 90's again. It was like we were secretly friends somehow simply because I ordered food from his spot. We shook hands just because it seemed like the thing to do when someone is that kind. When was the last time you shook your DoorDash drivers hand? Likely never. And why would you? But this dude made our day just by being cool and I wish I could've tipped him a thousand dollars.
And it's not just that - the staff at the location are always extremely friendly and appreciative each time I visit. La Pizza Club is the kind of place I want to support and am lucky to have right around the corner.
