“Everything changes and nothing lasts forever.”
TL/DR: After careful consideration, and much reflection, we have come to the very difficult decision to close our doors.
Covid changed the way we do business, and in turn, reshaped our relationships to the spaces in which we exist. For many of us, the pandemic created a liminal space in which we were prompted to reevaluate—to take stock, let go of what no longer serves us, and take steps toward a future that more closely aligns with our goals and desires (basically an 18-month crash course in observing the impermanence of life).
That’s not to say that letting go is easy. There were some moments throughout the past seven years that were truly magical—experiences that were so heartwarming, so soul-quenching, that they propelled this business and inspired us to keep going.
It was the live music, the art openings, the community events, and the time spent connecting with neighbors, friends, and complete strangers, for that matter, that made this space and this work so incredibly fulfilling.
It was because of this community that Grindhaus existed. It was because of you. ♡
Holding this space and being a part of this experience was an honor, and we are so grateful for all of the memories we get to take with us. Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared this space, and supported us over the years. We love you.
