"Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy."

We were definitely blessed with great joy this Christmas as we received our present a few days early. Colette Elizabeth decided to make her grand entry into the world on December 20th at 12:10 am and I could not think of a better way to celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus. We are so in love and the girls adore her. My heart is full 💗 Love my girls so much. Looking forward to spending some quality time with them for a few months and then getting back into business.

September 1st is here! Might as well be fall 🍂🎃, right? Although the weather isn't currently cooperating, I am so looking forward to sitting outside, sipping some warm cider or a cup of coffee, and munching on some pumpkin cookies while the leaves fall... Definitely my favorite time of year!

The OG cake! 12 years ago today my husband and I celebrated with this wedding cake. I remember the day we got engaged, I had bought a bridal magazine and on one of the last pages in the back of the magazine was the smallest picture of this wedding cake that ended up being the inspiration for the whole day. I did not make this cake, though. We had ordered from The Cookie Jar in Newport.

While there are some things I would consider changing about that day, one thing is for certain. I would not change who I married. A lot has happened since then and we have been through some major challenges, but no one else I would rather go through them with! I would definitely love to be that size again, though 😆

I am having too much fun highlighting each of these cakes. 😄 I also had so much fun designing this cake. I came across this place setting on Pinterest (2nd picture) and I absolutely fell in love with it. It inspired me to come up with this cake design. I even made the wooden piece in the center! 💪 What do you think?

"Winter is coming" ❄️🌲

Ok, so I am not really a Game of Thrones fan (I made it through 1 season), however I am a fan of winter and Christmas, especially.

When we got married, my husband tried to convince me to get married in the winter time (he is a big time skiier), but I had always dreamed of a summer wedding, so that is what we went with. Looking back now, I can absolutely appreciate and see the beauty of a winter wedding. That's what was on my mind when designing/making this cake. Winter will be special for us this year as we will be welcoming our 3rd little one 👶 into the family!

Hello! 👋 It has been a few weeks since I have posted, so I thought I would take the opportunity to introduce myself again. A lot of you know me for decorated sugar cookies as well as celebration cakes. However, one of my favorite things to make/create are wedding cakes! The few in the photo 📸 are some that I made for a photo shoot, but I would love to recreate them or come up with a new and unique idea for you!
