For some delicious fried catfish in Tennessee...the “Catfish Kitchen” in the small town of Burns makes for an excellent choice! Not far from Montgomery Bell State Park, you’ll find this lakeside spot with cracked linoleum floors, older wooden tables, and wide windows with a view of the lake in the distance. It feels relaxed and homey the minute you sit down. You’re greeted with fresh hushpuppies and coleslaw, and the service stays sharp from start to finish. The catfish fillets come out light, flaky, and cooked just right, with a spicy version that has a bold crunch without too much heat. Plates often include white beans, relish, and your choice of sides. Some nights call for quail, onion rings, or a slice of pecan or chocolate fudge pie. It’s family friendly, welcoming, and worth the drive!

Hello everyone! We hope everyone is staying warm during this snow! ❄️❄️

We were planning to open today but our parking lot is preventing us from doing so. We hope to have it cleared tomorrow so we can be open and serve you!

We will update tomorrow for sure about being open! We hope all this melts soon so we can get back to what we love to do ❄️💙
