In 2004, 11 years ago, my parents moved our family from the Metro-Detroit area to West Michigan to pursue a dream that they always had, to be their own bosses. First 2 years after opening Bangkok Taste in Jenison were the hardest, my father had to pick up a night job after working all day at the restaurant so we can keep up with all of our bills. Once the restaurant started picking up he was able
to leave his night time job and focus solely on our restaurant. In 2010, after Bangkok Taste had gain a regular crowd, we opened up our 2nd restaurant (Bangkok Taste Cuisine) in Downtown Grand Rapids. Although it was a great experience being a part of the busy city, we decided to sell the restaurant. Not to long after selling our downtown location, we opened up another restaurant in Allendale (Aroy Thai). This location is co-owned by my parents and my brother and has been a great addition to our family. Now, a year and a half later, we are proud to say that we are a part of the Caledonia Community now and are ready to serve consistently, delicious, and Fresh Thai food for you and your family and friends to enjoy!
