HOLY ARTEMIS!
Artemis Arthur, from my understanding, is an L.A. transplant to little Nevada City, and an extraordinary addition to Nevada County's rich stew of musical influences. We seem to have everything here, from World to Blue Grass to Jazz to Country to Rock, and a few other solo genres that may be indescribable.
I only just discovered Artemis, who is a talented songwriter as well as a pitch-perfect singer. That's what impresses me about this live performance video, though there is a commercial video for her song "The Real" that more fully showcases her talent and energy. She is really good live, which means real talent. Beyond that, I don't know anything about her, but I am curious to learn and hear more.
