Hello friends,
It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Cafe Barada will be closing its full-service dining at 2269 Mass Ave on Saturday, December 5th.
Cafe Barada first opened its doors in Arlington in 1985, founded by Youssef and inspired by the love, wisdom, and guidance of our grandmother, Afifi Salameh. As the business grew, Youssef welcomed his brothers, Sami and Elias, who with the help of the rest of the Salameh family, built Cafe Barada into what it is today. What began as one man’s vision grew into a family legacy rooted in tradition, hard work, and a shared love of bringing people together.
For more than four decades, it has been our joy and privilege to serve you, be part of your celebrations, and share in the everyday moments that make life meaningful. From birthdays and anniversaries to family gatherings, first dates, and meals among friends, you have welcomed us into your lives and your stories. For that, we are profoundly grateful.
Cafe Barada has always been more than a restaurant. It has been a place of community, friendship, and family. So many of you have become more than customers; you have become part of our extended family. The connections we have made and the memories we have created together will remain with us for years to come.
Although this chapter is coming to a close, we hope it is not a final goodbye. We look forward to continuing to share our food with you through future endeavors.
As we prepare for this transition, we want to express our deepest gratitude. Thank you for your loyalty, your kindness, your laughter, and for welcoming us into your lives throughout the years. Your support has meant everything to us, and Cafe Barada would not have been what it is without you.
We hope you will visit us before December 5th to share a meal, reminisce, and celebrate the wonderful years we have spent together.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making Cafe Barada such a special place. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you. The friendships we have formed, the stories we have shared, and the memories we have made will always hold a special place in our hearts.
With heartfelt gratitude and love,
The Salameh Family
