Thursday June 4 is Chat Cafe! 📚

Last week, the Villager Cafe became a space for reflection, creativity, conversation, and community as so many of you came out to support Camden artist Patrick Scorese’s 6 Years project. Thank you to everyone who made the evening feel so meaningful.

Part reading, part performance piece, part community gathering, the event invited people into Patrick’s evolving body of work inspired by his experience living with brain cancer — a series of six “book objects” exploring memory, grief, trauma, time, and acceptance.

With music from The Mermaids the Band, typewriter poetry byMaya Stein, brain-teaser activities by Ali Simonds, puzzles, and thoughtful conversation throughout the cafe, the evening created space for people to experience the project together.

Thank you to Birch Bark Events for producing the event, the artists who collaborated on the evening, and every person who showed up to support Patrick's work. Read Midcoast Villager editorial piece about the event at the link below.
