About New Growth Cafe
Hello! We are Adam and Nicole McGhee, owners of New Growth Cafe. The cafe is located on the Spout Springs Church campus. Spout Springs Church is located in the Highway 87 Corridor, across the street, and down the hill from Linden Oaks (military housing associated with Fort Bragg).
New Growth Cafe is a coffee shop selling a variety of espresso and coffee beverages as well as a great selection of non-coffee drinks. The menu will likely change frequently as the shop gets established.
What does New Growth mean? Adam and Nicole have been part of the Spout Springs Church Global Mission Team since 2017. In 2018 and 2020, they went to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to work alongside an amazing organization - The Hard Places Community (HPC). In Cambodia, however, HPC is known as Punlok Thmey - which translates to “new growth.” When it was time to name the business, it felt like New Growth was the natural choice because of the amazing connection they have established with their friends in Cambodia.
The story of mission work, HPC, Cambodia, and even Greece is a much longer story so if you’re ever in the shop and would like to know more, just ask!
