As many of you may see on Facebook or hear through the grapevine, Big Papa’s is officially for sale. I just wanted to take a moment to share a few things personally.

First and foremost — we are NOT going out of business. Our business is strong, and Big Papa’s will continue operating as usual while we look for the right buyer.

This decision comes simply because I am retiring from the restaurant business after being in it since I was 14 years old. My father, Wayne J. Cavanaugh, started Big Papa’s in 2001 — hence the name “Big Papa.” He was truly a force in the kitchen, and I know many of you remember him fondly. It’s hard to believe that was 25 years ago.

I have proudly owned and operated Big Papa’s since 2007. Three years ago, I also started another business that has grown exponentially and now requires more of my focus moving forward.

Until a buyer is found, it’s BUSINESS AS USUAL at Big Papa’s — including our Friday fish fries and catering for any event.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our family business over the years. It has truly meant more than words can express.
