Good Morning Facebook Friends!
We’re really having a great July on our All American Road Trip and we want to keep rolling! This week our road trip takes us through Texas. Texas is just to big not to spend at least a week on all the great food and so diverse.

It’s not just Chicken Fried Steak and BBQ Ribs. If you have traveled through the State you know we Texans are serious about our food!
Monday we’re starting in our hometown Dallas !
I’m not sure about this but I honestly think they invented Fajitas in Dallas. Probably around 1984 I had my first plate of Fajitas! Raphael’s on Greenville Ave. Then came On The Border and shortly after that the best of them all The Blue Goose on lower Greenville. I remember waiting for hours for a table on a Saturday night and all worth it just to be served up that sizzling plate of grilled meat. What a time to live in Dallas!
Enough of my reminiscing! Monday we’re doing grilled Fajitas!

Tuesday we’re heading down I 35 heading towards Austin. Our 1st stop though is Waco. You know what Waco is famous for besides The Baylor Bears and Chip and Joanna? Dr. Pepper! Yep invented in Waco Texas in 1888 and there is even a Dr. Pepper Museum! Pretty cool! But back to the menu. We can’t go to Austin with out stopping for some seriously delicious Texas BBQ. And Brad has the smoke box cranked up and he’s smoking Turkey Breast and Texas Sausage.
We will pair that with a German Potato Salad( we’re almost to the Hill County) and some Texas Sweet Corn. For dessert a Dr. Pepper Pie that I got the recipe for from my Dr. Pepper cookbook.I can’t wait to make this meal.

Wednesday we’re in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country! Who knew we even had Hills in Texas. The Texas Hill County was so beautiful back in the day that in mid 1840’s over 7000 German Immigrants settled here and Established New Braunfels and Fredericksburg. To this day German influence over food is clearly celebrated in this Part of Texas. It’s delicious and I often crave it. Wednesday we’re cooking German and you don’t want to miss it.
Our road Texas road trip ends on Thursday in Galveston. Most of you know how much my family loves a good weekend in Galveston. And one of the main reasons we go is to eat at my top 10 favorite restaurants in the world Gaidos. It’s literally a step back in time and generations of families have made this Galveston institution a tradition. It’s been in business since 1911 for a reason.
I will recreate one of my all time favorite seafood dinners on Thursday that just screams hello weekend at The 🏖️ Beach! So jump in the car with us, buckle up because we’re cooking some amazing Texas traditions this week!

Dinners to Go are prepared fresh daily Monday through Thursday
Dinners feed 2 people and are valued priced at just 32.00
Pick up time is daily 4:45 till 6:15
We deliver to homes located within a 3.5 mile radius of our commercial kitchen located at 1848 East Rosemeade in Carrollton.
We accept cash and credit
Our store hours are Monday through Thursday 11:30 till 6:15

In addition to our Dinners to Go we offer Catering services. We cater for both large and small events. If you have any catering coming up please give us a cal to discuss. We would love to cater your next event.

We also offer all kinds of wonderful things in our Grab and Go case. We stock the case daily with Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, Entrees, Sweets, Quiche, Charcuterie, and lots more. You can find freshly made Cookies, Cakes, Boojie Brownies and lots more daily. The Grab and Go is available anytime during our business hours. Monday through Thursday 11:30 till 6:15.

Happy Sunday Facebook Friends!
Well our Summer Road-trip continues and this week we’re heading South to Florida. One thing to note before we get started is due to all the information coming out concerning Lettuce this week, we will not be doing any Salads for Dinners to Go that contain lettuce. We will still have Salads available in the Grab and Go case if you choose to purchase. Also our lettuce is always washed before we chop it FYI.

Now let’s get on the road. Leaving Dallas we head out on I 20 with a plan. Not going to eat anything until we get to The French Market in Natchitoches Louisiana. It’s about a 4 hour drive and it’s an absolute must stop on every road-trip. Why because at The French Market you can fuel up and also have one of the best meals in Louisiana. Natchitoches is famous for 2 reasons. 1 it’s the town that Steel Magnolias was filmed in and 2 it’s where
They invented the Natchitoches Meat Pies.
We are not driving through Louisiana with out a stop in Natchitoches. Not only are they famous for the awesome meat pie( and I do think ours are better) but they also make this incredible Sweet Potato Bundt Cake with pecan and caramel. We always buy a whole one to bring home on our return trip. Because we’re stopping there coming and Going! So y’all don’t want to miss our special Monday Dinner.

Tuesday we’re heading to New Orleans any everyone knows we love some Creole Cuisine. And what’s better on a Summer night than Shrimp Etouffee? Nothing! I make it with Lobster Stock to give it that rich depth of flavor. Served with Creole Tomato Salad and Summertime Bread Pudding made with in season peaches. 🍑 yum yum!

Wednesday we make it to Mississippi! And let’s just say we are in the Deep South now. We’re going to have A Southern Supper on Wednesday night that you can only find in Mississippi. Your gonna think your at A Sunday Supper at your Southern Relatives house who puts on a show for her guest. Everything is inspired my Mississippi.

Then Finally we make to our final destination this week. We’re on the beach in Miami! And no we’re not getting Seafood just because we’re in Florida. We’re eating Cuban food because well one of the Worlds best Sandwiches is a proper Cubano Sandwich. This is coming with all classic Cubano sides. Fried Plantain Chips, Cuban Dip. Real Cuban bread shipped to us from Miami, slow roasted Pork. Black Bean Salad and of course A Chocolate Rum Cake Flan. I might even let Brad smoke a Cuban Cigar!

Who needs to go anywhere this Summer other than the good ole USA when there is so much to see and eat right here at home.
