To our DaéBreak family,

We wanted to take a moment to share a quick update.

Since opening our doors, we’ve always done our very best to be here for our community. By God’s grace, we’ve been able to operate with very few unexpected closures, and we’re incredibly thankful for that.

This summer, however, has brought some unexpected health challenges for both James and me. Right now, we’re taking a brief pause while our family deals with an unexpected health issue.

We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and prayers during this time.

Thank you for supporting our family and our small business. Your kindness means more than you know, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

This moment is a reflection of the steady work, heart, and consistency you have shown in building not just a business, but a space that truly serves and reflects your community. Your commitment shows up in every interaction, every plate served, and every customer experience you create.

What makes this recognition even more meaningful is the connection that came before it. Months before the SBR grant was even announced, our president visited DaeBreak Cafe Originally known as "Cafe Sundae Restaurant" as a customer with the intention of identifying intentional, community-based businesses making a real difference. In that visit, she met the owner, James and Later met his Wife Donna, heard their story firsthand, and experienced what so many others already know genuine hospitality, excellent customer service, and food that speaks for itself.

There was no pitch, no expectation just authentic service and a clear love for community, one customer at a time. That experience stayed with us, and it made this decision even clearer when the time came.

We could not be more honored to support a business that consistently shows what it means to love where you are, serve well, and build something meaningful through everyday excellence.

DaeBreak Cafe, thank you for showing up for your community in such a real and grounded way.

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been temporarily closed while navigating a health matter, taking time to heal, and making important updates behind the scenes.

To everyone who checked in, prayed, visited us at the market, or simply waited patiently —

We’re grateful to share that DaéBreak Café reopens June 1.

Before then, come see us at the Cartersville Farmers Market this Saturday, May 23 • 8AM–12PM for smoothies, coffee, and market favorites while we prepare to welcome you back. We’ll also be back at the market on May 30 before reopening.
