ABOUT US
We are the Cafe Rumi family, our staff works together in harmony to give patrons an amazing experience. We are becoming busier day by day and becoming a staple in Castro Valley. Our cafe serves organic and fair trade coffees and unique teas, Mediterranean food, and other unique menu items. We are looking for warm, energetic, friendly, mature, and punctual crew to share our vision of excellent customer service. We are best of Yelp in our area because of our amazing service, we would like to keep it this way and need amazing staff to help us reach our goals.
ABOUT THE POSITIONS AVAILABLE
CASHIERING - BARISTA - FOOD PREP
- Barista experience and coffee experience are a big plus, but not required (we will train)- Food service experience a plus, but not required (we will train)- Basic duties include making coffee, espresso, tea and other drinks, cashiering, kitchen help, preparing food, cleaning tables, basic cleaning, dishes, etc... - Promising candidates will quickly move up the ranks- We will evaluate candidates on a trial period.
If you are energetic and hard working, and want to eventually successfully manage a restaurant or cafe, this is the career for you. You start from the bottom but have the opportunity to work your way up. We are looking to expand in the near future and need such people. Your contribution to Cafe Rumi will earn you success as you work your way up, your contributions and value will be appreciated and rewarded. If you become a valuable asset to Cafe Rumi, you will be compensated and promoted.
ABOUT YOU
- You must be very energetic and be comfortable working in a fast moving environment. - Must be organized and have clean working habits. - We love employees that have an attention to detail and only crank out the best food and drinks they can, with a big smile. - Some love and passion about food, coffee, and tea are a plus- Must have a valid Food Handler's Card (which can be obtained very easily online)- You must have morning, weekend, and evening availability- Must be a high school graduate and at least 18
